There’s a famous story about turning water into wine but what about wine into jelly? Well, that’s exactly how d’Vine Gourmet started for Denise McCreery but we’ll get to that in a minute. First, let’s talk about Chandler POPS!
Chandler POPS! is a beautiful mini-event space located in the heart of downtown Chandler. Coincidently right next door to one of my favorite little places, Paletas Betty. The space is available for all your social or business needs! From seminars to creative classes, special occasions to pop-up markets. Spoiler Alert, we’ll also be holding some of our 2023 Family Mini Sessions and Headshot Mini Sessions at Chandler Pops!
It’s the perfect space to host an event. Whether you bring your own food and drink or partner with one of the downtown Chandler vendors, Chandler POPS! has an Event Planner that will work with you to ensure your time in our space is perfect every single visit.

Denise McCreery – Chandler POPS! & d’vine gourmet
So remember that thing about turning wine into jelly? Well, that’s exactly how she started her business, d.Vine Gourmet back in 2003. Funny enough the name for the business came from a new reporter calling the business by the wrong name!
After several leftover bottles of wine, the thought came, “How do I save or preserve this wine?” BOOM! She makes jelly and sells it out at the local farmer’s market! Then ultimately has to take classes and learn how to use pectin commercially.
What’s super interesting is her tales of touring in a music group worldwide when she was younger, that’s something you have to ask her about and to this day you can still find her performing locally with the Bitter Creek Band around some great spots right here in downtown Chandler.
So I rapid-fired some questions to Denise during our visit to Chandler POPS! Here we go…
In your opinion what are some of the best things the valley has to offer? Great entertainment, the outdoors, and all the amazing people I meet
What are your favorite local eats at the moment? Tap N Tikka in Gilbert. It’s cute, smells amazing, is delicious, and has wonderful drinks to round it out.
What are some of your favorite local places to shop? d’Vine Gourmet (duh), Blue Planet Outdoors, and Butcher Block Meats
What’s your favorite after-work activity? Happy Hour!
Tell us a little about your family. Who are the family members? What activities do you enjoy doing together? My amazing husband Andrew and I still play around like little kids even though he’s a regular World Highland Game competitor. I have 2 adult kids and with all the travel we all do plus living out-state we spent a lot of time on webchats.
What products are services do you offer? Well, Chandler POPS! is there to serve clients with meeting and event space surrounded by so many other great businesses in the heart of downtown Chandler.
d’Vine Gourmet was born from a love of food and wine and a desire to share our culinary creations with others. As a tried and true Arizonan, we also wanted to showcase the unique flavors of our great state in a refined, ‘foodie’ friendly way. Her commercial kitchen produces a varied and award-winning line of jams, mustards, candies, snacks, spices, and so much more.
Who is your ideal customer or client? Locally made handcrafted aficionados.
Denise and d’Vine Gourmet are self-proclaimed localvores and procure raw materials and supplies locally as often as possible.
It’s apparent the moment you meet her, she loves connecting and being a part of the community. As soon are you meet her, this is apparent. She will drive so far out of her way to support a local business vs the big box store.
What problems do you solve for your customers? Make gifting easy, we help you find what you need.
Our gourmet gifts and gift baskets feature Arizona-made gourmet treats and hand-made products. Our gift baskets are all made fresh to order and are available in a variety of sizes and styles using only the freshest products possible. How many people work for your business? It varies during the seasons but anywhere from 10-25 people.
What gets you excited to create, and where do you look to find inspiration? My taste buds. I really do love some good food and drink! I always appreciate good food from the way it tastes and how it’s made and I am always looking for something new, tasty, and beautiful
What is your company mission statement? Quality Product, Quality Service

Coming in September you can find Bitter Creek Band at West Alley BBQ, which has some fricking good Tennessee BBQ. #livelocalmusic and very soon we’ll be introducing jellies and toffees! OMG, I’m so excited about the toffee!
