Passport Photos Phoenix — Compliant for 40+ Countries, Same-Day Digital Delivery

One in ten passport photos gets rejected by embassies and consulates. If yours is for a Canadian passport, UK application, Schengen visa, Indian OCI card, or any non-US document, the rules change by country — and FedEx or Walgreens cannot help you.
Our passport photos Phoenix service is built for exactly this. At Photo Fusion Studio, we specialize in international passport, visa, and USCIS photos that meet each country’s specific compliance standards the first time. We shoot to spec, verify dimensions, and deliver a digital file (or printed pair) that gets accepted — not returned.
If you need a standard US passport photo, FedEx and Walgreens handle those well for $15–17. We don’t compete on that. We exist for the photos they can’t take.
Canadian Passport Photos — Our Most Requested International Service
Canada has the strictest passport photo requirements of any country we serve. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires every passport photo to be taken by a commercial photographer — self-taken, booth, or retail chain photos are rejected. The photo must be 50×70mm (a size unique to Canada), and both prints must be stamped on the back with the studio name, address, and date taken.
We handle all of it:
- Exact 50×70mm format with 31–36mm head height (IRCC requirement)
- Plain white background meeting IRCC color tolerance
- Two identical prints on professional photographic paper
- Studio back-stamp with Photo Fusion Studio name, address (600 N 4th St, Phoenix, AZ), and date — required by IRCC
- Compliant digital file for IRCC online portal submissions
- Retake guarantee if rejected by IRCC
Walk-in passport photo services at Walgreens, CVS, and FedEx cannot produce the 50×70mm Canadian format, cannot stamp the back of the print, and do not include a digital file for online portal applications. For Canadian clients in Phoenix, we’re one of the few studios equipped to produce a fully compliant submission.
40+ Country Passport Photo Specifications We Shoot to Standard
Every country sets its own passport and visa photo specifications. We maintain current spec sheets for over 40 countries and all major US immigration forms. Common documents we shoot to standard:
- Canadian Passport, Citizenship, and PR Card — 50×70mm, white background, studio back-stamp required (IRCC)
- Australian and New Zealand Passports — 35×45mm, country-specific head positioning
- Chinese Visa — 33×48mm, specific head-size requirements, white background
- DS-160 (US Nonimmigrant Visa) — 600×600px digital upload, 2×2 ratio
- Indian Passport, OCI Card, and Visa — 2×2 inch white background, full face centered
- Japanese and Korean Passports — country-specific formats and head heights
- Mexican Passport and Visa — 35×45mm, white background, three prints required for passport applications, no glasses permitted
- Other Mexican Government and Professional IDs — Cédula profesional, teacher credentials, SAT, consular ID, and other Mexican-issued document photos
- Schengen Visa — 35×45mm, 70–80% face coverage, recent within 6 months
- UK Passport — 35×45mm, neutral expression, specific background and lighting requirements
- USCIS Forms — I-765 (employment authorization), N-400 (naturalization), I-90 (green card renewal), I-131 (travel documents)
- Country e-visa portals — India, Turkey, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, and more
If your country isn’t listed, ask. We’ve shot to over 40 country specifications and can build to any published standard.

What’s Included in Your Passport Photo Session
Every passport photo session at our downtown Phoenix studio includes:
- 10-minute session at our downtown Phoenix studio at 600 N 4th St
- Shot to your country’s exact specification by an experienced photographer
- One professionally lit, compliance-verified digital file delivered via email the same day
- Proper background (white or light gray based on country requirement)
- Guidance on clothing, expression, and positioning before we shoot
- Retake guarantee if the issuing authority rejects the photo
- Optional printed pair add-on for applications requiring physical prints
- Optional additional country format for multi-document clients
Most 2026 applications need digital only. US passport online renewals via MyTravelGov, DS-160 visa applications, country e-visa portals, and most USCIS forms require a compliant JPG upload — no prints needed. We’ll tell you whether you need prints based on your specific application. No upsell.
Why Choose a Passport Photo Studio in Phoenix Over Retail Chains?
For standard US passports, Walgreens, FedEx, and CVS work fine. For anything else, retail chains have three problems:
- They only shoot 2×2 inch. That’s the US standard. It doesn’t fit Canadian (50×70mm), UK (35×45mm), Schengen (35×45mm), Indian, Chinese, Mexican, or most international passport specs.
- No digital file included. Modern applications (DS-160, online renewals, USCIS e-filing, country e-visa portals, IRCC online submissions) require a compliant JPG upload. Retail chains only print.
- No retake guarantee. If your photo gets rejected by the consulate or issuing authority, you pay full price again.
Our passport photos Phoenix studio solves all three. We shoot to your country’s exact spec, deliver a digital file compliant with online application portals, and guarantee a free retake if the issuing authority rejects the photo. With over 13 years serving Phoenix, our team is the specialist option for complex international compliance work.

Passport Photos Phoenix FAQ
How long does a passport photo session take?
Plan for 15 minutes total. Shooting itself takes 3–5 minutes. The rest is verifying the country spec, reviewing the shot with you, and cropping to final dimensions.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes, during normal studio hours, but appointments are strongly preferred. Walk-ins are accommodated when a photographer is available, which isn’t guaranteed if we’re in the middle of a headshot or event session.
What should I wear for my passport photo?
Most countries require professional or business casual clothing in a solid color that contrasts with the background. Avoid white if the background is white. Avoid hats, heavy glasses, or anything that shadows your face. No uniforms (some countries reject them). Mexico specifically prohibits glasses. We’ll guide you through specifics when you arrive.
Can you retouch the photo?
No, and this is important. Passport and visa photos cannot be retouched, filtered, or AI-altered under State Department and most international standards. We’ll deliver a clean, properly lit, properly exposed image — but we won’t smooth skin, remove moles, or edit features. Retouched photos get rejected.
Do you shoot infant and child passport photos?
Yes. Infant and child passport photos are more challenging — the child must have eyes open, no pacifier, no one else in frame, neutral expression. We have patience and techniques for this. Budget extra time.
What if my photo gets rejected?
Email us the official rejection notice and we’ll retake the photo at no charge. This applies to rejections from the issuing authority (State Department, consulate, IRCC, USCIS, etc.).
Do I need digital, prints, or both?
It depends on the application. Most 2026 submissions are digital upload only (online renewals, DS-160, e-visa portals, most USCIS e-filings). Physical prints are still required for Canadian passport applications, Chinese visa in-person submissions, Mexican passport applications (three prints required), mail-in US passport applications, and some Schengen consulate visits. When you book, tell us the application and we’ll tell you what you need.
Where is your Phoenix passport photo studio located?
We’re at 600 N 4th St, Phoenix, AZ 85004, in downtown Phoenix. We’re near ASU Downtown, Arizona Center, and walking distance from several light rail stops. See directions to our studio.
Do you accept payment at the studio?
Yes. We accept cash, credit card, debit card, and digital payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Payment is due at the session.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Passport photo sessions are non-refundable once the photo has been shot. If you need to cancel or reschedule before your appointment, there’s no charge as long as you give at least 2 hours notice.
