studio Manager Application
Studio Manager
We need someone who can run the day-to-day so we can focus on growth.
Photo Fusion Studio serves Phoenix businesses, families, and creative clients with professional headshots, events, and brand imagery. We’re known for quality work and smooth client experiences. Now we need the right person to keep our operations running while we focus on scaling.
The Role
You’re in charge of handling the small stuff so the owner can focus on the big stuff, photographers can do their jobs, and assistants can do theirs. You’re the link that keeps the team working harmoniously so we all succeed together. That means overseeing client communications, keeping an eye on the dashboard to see who needs attention, flagging issues that need immediate action, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. We have automation and systems in place, but we need human eyes actually looking at what’s happening and deciding what needs intervention. You’ll oversee studio preparation, keep the calendar organized, and coordinate with our team of studio assistants and associate photographers.
This is a part-time role starting at 10 hours per week. It’s designed for someone who wants meaningful work without full-time commitment – whether you’re running another business, freelancing, managing family commitments, or simply prefer part-time. Hours may grow based on business needs, but we’re not promising this becomes a full-time position. You’ll work in-studio at our downtown Phoenix location to start, with potential to shift into a hybrid remote/studio arrangement once you’re dialed in. Even with remote flexibility, expect weekly in-studio presence.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who’s done this kind of work before. Not necessarily in photography, but you’ve managed operations, coordinated projects, or run the behind-the-scenes of a service business. You know what good client service looks like because you’ve delivered it. You’re comfortable on the phone and genuinely enjoy talking with people. You don’t need to be told what to do next because you can see three steps ahead.
You’re organized enough to juggle multiple projects without dropping balls. You communicate clearly and follow through on what you commit to. You’re comfortable with CRM systems and digital workflows (we use Zoho One, but if you’ve used similar tools, you’ll figure it out). Most importantly, when you see something that might become a problem, you handle it before it does.
This is an in-studio position in downtown Phoenix to start. You need to be available for regular weekly presence even as some hours potentially shift remote.
Why This Works
Flexible part-time schedule that fits around other commitments. You’re not just working in a business, you’re learning how to run one. Direct mentorship from the owner on business operations and client management. Complimentary photography services for you and your family – headshots, family sessions, whatever you need.
If you’re experienced enough to hit the ground running but want part-time work with real substance, not just task completion, this could be a great fit.
